Two questions decide whether a genre is worth shipping into: is there money at the top of it, and is that top still letting new games in. Every tag below is measured on exactly its top 20 games by review count — the same depth for every tag — so the comparison is between markets rather than between how far this site has scraped each one.
Read these as the top of each tag. Every figure describes a tag's best 20 games, so the median column is the median of the winners, not of everything released. The typical Steam release in any of these tags earns far less. Tags without a full top 20 in the catalogue are left out rather than compared on a thinner sample, and all revenue is this site's estimate, not reported sales.
